Since 2020, Beatrice Carlson has been translating her WOW (World of WearableArt) concepts to adornment and contemporary jewellery.

This weekend-long workshop will take you on a journey, exploring a concept through different mediums, to finally create a piece of jewellery.

This workshop is inspired by Carlson’s “Lines” ring, a finalist of the Parkin Drawing Prize 2021.

Carlson is an interdisciplinary artist and uses Perspex as her main medium. She is also a printmaker and has a French Diploma in fashion design/patternmaking.

She combines her skills to create jewellery that has been very well recognised recently, including by Richard T. Nelson Sculpture Awards 2022, Battle of the rings USA 2022, New Zealand Small Sculpture Awards 2021, and Cleveland National Arts Awards 2021.
