The 1939 City of Auckland model is just one segment of what was once a much larger model of central Auckland.
It was designed by Architect Ronald Muston for the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition. The model buildings were handmade and hand painted by technical high school (polytechnic) students.
Join Auckland Council Heritage Researcher Marguerite Hill and Technical Advisor Patrick Cummuskey for a floor talk about two Auckland models: the 1939 City of Auckland model and a modern, 3D printed model of central Auckland.
