Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has been hospitalised after falling out of a palm tree at an exclusive Fiji resort, it has been reported. The 62-year-old rock star had the accident earlier in the week and was flown to hospital in Auckland, New Zealand yesterday.

Band spokeswoman Fran Curtis said that Richards had suffered mild concussion. 'Following treatment locally and as a precautionary measure, he flew to a hospital accompanied by his wife, Patti, for observation,' she said.

She refused to elaborate further on his condition or explain what Richards was doing up a tree in the first place.
