In ‘An Ode to Mother Nature: The Divine Feminine’, Bella Christine uses the flower as a symbol for the connection between women and nature. Though making as a form of meditation, Bella has used multiple mediums to explore the imperfect, ephemeral, and organic nature of what she considers divine. Inspired by wabi-sabi and the Japanese art of ikebana, Bella presents a visual dichotomy between the beauty of the (wo)man-made and the natural. Bella is in her final weeks of a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Elam and this is a collection of her work completed over her final year.
