Shhhh…. It's a secret.

*Intimate Event - So Tickets are Limited*

We’ve watched too much Netflix and clocked all the couch hours from the never-ending Winter. It is time to get back to the (good bits) of being a human. All you need is the Magic Word to enter. Welcome to 2 hours of something different.

Wednesday October 19th will be the first of a series of Secret Society events in different locations. Each event will offer those with the secret password to enjoy a night of learning from powerful short talks with experts, to workshops, to wine, cocktail and beer tastings, winemakers and brewers stories, swap events, music, performances, tasting experiences, nature trails, product launches and just generally providing a networking space for those to meet up with mates or make some new quality connections.

For our first Secret Society it will be hosted by Megan Raynor ( @ megsthebrand)
Megan is a lover of telling stories, but spends her day job working for big brands such as Girls Get Off, Tourism Bay of Plenty and numerous magazines. Megan is gonna give us a few tips on our ideas - how we can turn that into something wonderful through strategy, and the importance of networking to get your brand heard.

Book Swap

Wrap your book so we no one can see the cover and write a little blurb about what it is about WITHOUT giving away the title of the book. Everyone will swapsy and take a new book home!

The Rack

The only rack you should be checking out is this one. I was given some really cool branded clothing for Gladrags which had to be postponed, so there will be 1 clothing rack of clothes that ticket holders are free to take x1 item from each!

Powerful Short Talks By :

Lucy Johnston - Lecturer, Writer & Educator

Lucy has a Masters in Education, and specialises in speaking about Neuroscience, and in particular brain development and function and will be teaching us how to look after your brain, which periods during your lifespan are critical in terms of brain development, how your brain works and how you can apply this knowledge as parents, colleagues and just as humans!

Nathan Pettigrew - Marine Mammal Permit Holder

Nathan is one of the very few non-commercial people in Aotearoa to hold a marine mammal permit which grants him special access to whales, dolphins and other ocean creatures protected from almost everyone else by NZ law.
A DOC volunteer and a marine conservationist with a very big lens, over the years he has captured some of the most incredible footage of marine life in Tauranga Moana and afar.
Nathan will be speaking about some of his most adrenaline-pumping, up-close experiences with sharks, whales, leopard seals and much more. We’re keen to hear about his relationship with Pickle - an orca with a partial dorsal fin that he first encountered as a baby, and has watched her grow into a now 12 year old in a pod that frequents our region. Oh and those few times sharks have tried to eat his kayak.

Your ticket includes all of the above, but also a few slices of Pizza! We will make sure to have enough for everyone and include vegan and gluten free options, but if you're a hunger monster and want a whole pizza, they are happy to take an order for you at the bar to enjoy throughout. The bar will be serving a quality range of wines, local beers, ciders, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages
