Captain Caketin is a live sketch comedy group which has been writing and performing new shows since they were formed in 2020. Since their arrival on the scene, the group has been honing their skills and bringing a uniquely sketch voice to the comedy scene in Wellington. Captain Caketin are proud to showcase one token male writer/performer, leading the way for better white male representation in comedy.

The Special Recipe features performances from Megan Connolly (Friends Without Benefits, 5G Horse and BROsplained), Nina Hogg (Playshop, When Booty Calls, Cupid’s Guide to Modern Romance: NZ Fringe), Theresa Curtis-Smith (The Real Hot Bitches and Let’s Dance: “Ka Kite Covid” ad campaign and NZ Fringe), Matt Carroll (5G Horse and Friends Without Benefits), Kasia Czarkowska-Guziuk (Cheap and Perfect Sketch Comedy) and Hilaire Carmody (Pundemonium and Bogan Yoga: NZ Comedy Fest, NZ Improv Fest and NZ Fringe).
