Celestial Nobodies
Written by Evangelina Telfar, Directed By Anastasia Matteini-roberts & Produced by Bethany Miller.

The planet Neptune is leaving a voicemail for their only true love, the Voyager spacecraft. Saturn is taking a personality quiz to see if it’s a terrestrial planet or a gas giant. Mercury is writing an email to the universe to ask for some time off.

The personified planets in our solar system are ready to face their unique yet universal identity crises. They aren’t going through a phase. They aren’t imploding. They are finding new trajectories after billions of years being stuck in the same orbits.

Celestial Nobodies is a massive mixtape that tackles social issues with cosmic sparkle. It’s a witty fusion of theatrical monologues, astronomical science and a hint of musical theatre. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this freshly developed hilarious, sharp, and cathartic journey of relatable experiences and space matters back to the stage, after its sold out NZ Fringe season in 2021.

Celestial Nobodies declares that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) is for all, especially those in the Queer community. Get ready for these planets to be your whole universe!

“Celestial nobodies is a clever polylogue that uses its otherworldly scope to engage with identity, individualism, labels, social pressures, and expectations.”
