At a nervous system level, safety is about feeling safe - not just being safe.

You may be free of an actual physical threat to your survival, but why is it that your nervous system is out of whack?

Keep in mind that your autonomic nervous system hasn’t evolved to distinguish between the lack of ACTUAL safety if you were being chased by a wild animal, or the PERCEIVED lack of safety that the nervous system may experience as a result of being yelled at, ridiculed or ignored.

The way out of mental health struggles and chronic health conditions is through nervous system wellbeing. The nervous system cannot regulate without a FELT-SENSE of safety.

Learning and applying the tools and practices to create a felt-sense of safety is commonly overlooked, yet it is pivotal to your wellbeing (and to the wellbeing of your clients).
