Rachel Lang is the multi-award winning screenwriter and producer behind numerous series such as "Outrageous Fortune" , "Nothing Trivial", "Bad Mothers" and "Filthy Rich" to name just a few of the jewels in her extensive TV career.

She currently splits her time working on creating primetime drama in NZ and Australia. She is also the Vice-president of the NZ Writers Guild board and has mentored many newer writers into successful TV writing careers.

Session 1 - Creating a Great TV Series Idea.
Discover the key elements every great (or even average) TV Series must have.
Learn why these elements are "must have"
Learn the industry definitions for what you are creating.

Session 2 - What materials do you need to pitch a TV series? Where do you begin?
Learn how to put together the prose documents you need to pitch.
Learn how to boil your series idea down to it's simplest form.
Learn how to write a TV logline, one pager and proposal.
Learn the difference between series outline, proposal, bible, pitch deck.

Session 3 – Developing your idea. What will drive it? What’s the essential ingredient for a great show?
Create the most important ingredient of the series - great characters!
Learn how to complicate things for your protagonist.
Learn how to create your series arc.

Session 4 – The Pilot – and Pitching Session If you have worked out your series, what needs to be in the Pilot?
Learn the function and elements of a pilot.
Learn the key to pitching
Pitch your series idea!
