Warkworth Theatre group is travelling again. Italy last season and now, after the enormous success of Allo Allo, they are taking you back to France with “Don’t Dress for Dinner”. This classic bedroom farce by Marc Camoletti (of Boeing Boeing fame) has been adapted by Robin Hawdon and is directed by Richard Hutchinson.

Bernard is planning a romantic weekend with his chic Parisian mistress in his charming converted French farmhouse, whilst his wife, Jacqueline, is away. He has arranged for a cordon bleu cook to prepare gourmet delights, and has invited his best friend, Robert, along too to provide the alibi. It's fool proof... what could possibly go wrong?

Don’t Dress for Dinner is a frenetic case of mistaken identity, a comedy of confusion with a labyrinth of twists and turns that almost collapses under the weight of duplicity, mistaken identity, and extramarital affairs, but somehow stays in the air like a precarious but exquisitely built soufflé.

Tickets are on sale now at $20 - $25 per ticket for adults but only $2.00 for students from or from the Warkworth Theatre website or Mahurangi Local Matters office. If you have any problems with booking please contact either Lorraine on 027 634 5519 or Vanessa on 0274 758 992.
