Need a positivity fix? Come along to Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne this Earth Optimism Day (April 22) to hear about projects and people making a positive change to help our planet. From conservation to sustainable living, there’s an exciting line-up of speakers to hear from and kōrero with around what positive action is currently going on in Wellington.

Full line-up of speakers to be released soon, watch this space!

Earth Optimism is part of a growing, global movement that celebrates a change in focus from problem to solution, from a sense of loss to one of hope, in the dialogue about conservation and sustainability. It is an opportunity to celebrate people who are using their skills, experience and passion to tackle environmental challenges big and small and, more importantly, to encourage all of us through their stories. On our own we can't change the world, but each of us can make positive changes in our own lives that add up to big collective impact.

This event is brought to you by Society for Conservation Biology (Wellington Chapter) and Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne.

General Admission rates apply for entry to the sanctuary. The talks themselves are free, and will be located outside on the Round Lawn and Tūi Terrace.
