Feilding Spinners

Come along and join a group of fun people for a few hours of spinning yarns (woollen yarns or of the verbal variety ) or knitting.

We are the Feilding branch of Creative Fibre NZ.
Come along for free for the first three sessions and if you decide you would like to continue, it's $45 for the annual membership to Creative Fibre. The annual subs also get you the Creative Fibre magazine delivered to your mailbox four times a year.

We meet in the warm and cozy rooms at the Life Point Church, spin, knit and chat. We bring our lunches but sometimes we organise shared lunches and fun little mini events like our current "Winter Warmers" where we choose a theme like Soup and Socks, wear some socks we've made and share yummy homemade soup.

Each month we have a "Show and Tell" session where members can bring along projects they've finished - this could be some yarn they have finished spinning or dyeing, or something they made recently. It's exciting and inspiring for us to see what others get up to and it encourages us to try new techniques.

We also hold an education session monthly where one of the group shares knowledge on techniques they're confident or comfortable with. We have all different levels of experience in the group, from newbies to knitting, spinning or weaving, to those who are experts!

The group is warm and welcoming and not everybody turns up every week, it's just a turn up when you can kind of thing.

We have put a $1 in the kitty on the weeks we attend to pay for the tea & coffee and sometimes members will bring along items that can be purchased for a donation to the club.
