The largest Italian Festival in New Zealand is back in Auckland, with the very popular Festival Italiano street festival returning to Newmarket on Sunday 13th November for a day of music, food, design and Italian culture.

The festival will be set up from 11am – 5pm through Osborne Street, Kent Street and the Rialto Centre, which will all be closed off to traffic making it pedestrian friendly to allow everyone to become immersed in the day.

Italian restaurants and food stalls will set up in the streets together with a pop-up Italian bar and a bustling market with over 40 stalls, plus more free activities inside Rialto Centre, live music and entertainment, art and books for children, a special Italian products degustation area, workshops and exhibits.

To complete the Festival there will be Italian cars and scooters, spot prizes, and special guests!

Festival Italiano is a free public event brought to you by Newmarket, and with the generous support of the Waitematā Local Board.
The Festival is under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Wellington, and the major sponsors for 2022 are Smeg, Peroni and The Rialto Centre.
