This workshop on COLOUR, covered over two Tuesday afternoons, is the second in a series of four Bite Sized Workshops on the Fundamentals of Painting. Participants can sign up for just the one, any or all four. Bookings for each workshop will need to be made separately.

In this workshop on colour, there will be a focus on colour theory and constructive application of these ideas, building on Workshop One’s ideas on Tone.

Tutor: Damien Kurth

Basic starting materials are supplied, with advice on additional painting products as you go. Participants are welcome to bring your own paints and brushes.

Tea and Coffee supplied. Café down the main street of the Historic Village will be open for snack and other refreshments.

This four-part series covers the fundamentals of painting and is open to participants of all levels of experience, aged 13 and over. The techniques Damien will share can be applied to many painting media including oil and acrylic. Participants will progress to use these ideas to develop believable 3d forms on a 2d surface.

Be inspired and motivated by both Damien and fellow participants while producing practical results in your own artworks. Learn new techniques every week to build on your existing skills or start from scratch in our chilled and creative environment here at The Artery. The course concludes with an optional Full Day Painting from Life Workshop.

See event listings to book in for any of the three workshops.
