is workshop is a full day of guided life model painting to conclude Damien’s series of Bite Sized Workshops on the Fundamentals of Painting. Participants can apply techniques learnt throughout his previous workshops or, simply take the opportunity to be guided through painting a live model and to be inspired and motivated in this shared environment.

The previous workshops on tone, colour and brushwork are not a prerequisite to this full-day workshop. Participants are welcome to book one, any or all.

Tutor: Damien Kurth

Basic starting materials are supplied, with advice on additional painting products as you go. Participants are welcome to bring your own paints and brushes. This workshop is open to participants of all levels of experience, aged 16 and over.

Tea and Coffee supplied. Café down the main street of the Historic Village will be open for snack and other refreshments.

This four-part series covers the fundamentals of painting and is open to participants of all levels of experience, aged 16 and over. The techniques Damien will share can be applied to many painting media including oil and acrylic. Participants will progress to use these ideas to develop believable 3d forms on a 2d surface.

Damien is a professional tutor and artist of renown. He holds a Master of Fine Arts, Elam School of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Fine Arts, Otago Polytechnic.
