WE ARE BACK!

It's time to get stuck into clearing out your wardrobe and replacing it with some fresh new second-hand items! Then on Saturday morning of September 17th you can grab your mates, go for breakfast or a trip around Mauao then join us for Gladrags - The Great Big Spring Clothing Swap at the Mount Lifeguard Service ( Aka the Mount Surf Club on the Main Beach / Best view in the Bay.)

We promise you, when you find something amazing, maintain sustainability and spend only a few dollars - you’re gonna feel FAB.

We are working with the wonderful folk at Envirohub’s Sustainable Backyards, who will be at the swap to promote any upcoming events and to help you bag your new goodies.

Please note: This a gender non-conforming event, everyone and every kind of clothing is welcome as long as it is clean, and in good condition.

Here’s how its gonna work :

Step 1 - Purchase your Entry ticket at Eventbrite.co.nz

Step 2 - Time to put off the procrastinating and clear out that wardrobe.

Step 3 - Channel your inner Marie Kondo with some of your favorite pieces, and if it's in good condition but you think it could spark more joy in a new owner, place it aside.

Step 4 - Do this up to 12 times with Clothing (bags and hats are fine too, but we do not accept shoes or underwear), and put them aside and count down the days!

Step 5 is a TIP- The earlier you show up, the better your chances of bagging the gems.
Bring your bag of up-to-12-items along with you - One of our lovely team will greet you at the door and exchange x6 tokens with you ( one token covers one item) and direct you where to hang your clothing in the designated areas.

Note : You will get x6 tokens for 8 new items if you bring 1 item, or if you bring 12.

Step 6 - Start shoppinnnng!

**Any extra tokens purchased are just $2 each and all token proceeds will go towards Sustainable Backyards

Sustainable BackYards (SBY) aims to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of people in the community via informative workshops and activities.
It provides a mechanism for communities and organisations in the wider Bay of Plenty to have a voice in the protection of their environment and people.

Limited tickets available. For info and tickets go to @blablaevents on Instagram.
