Government House Guided Tour

Free guided tours, suitable for all ages and mobility-levels, through one of New Zealand's finest buildings. Government House has category-one heritage status and is the home of the Governor-General of New Zealand. The house was built in 1910 and extensively refurbished in 2008. It has a large collection of New Zealand art and Taonga. Tours start in the Visitor Centre, and then explore the house and (weather and mobility permitting) the grounds. We have onsite parking.
