Join us for a weekend celebration of the NZ Gravel community with races and suggested routes planned for the three days including Saturdays 'Gravel Nationals'.
Make it a one-day trip or stay for the full weekend. You'll experience some of the finest gravel routes the Waikato offers, finishing off with a festival vibe at the event HQ campground.
New to NZ the 115km (2126m of climbing) Gravel Nationals route promises a tough 77% gravel loop that will test the best, with awards available for age groups. Held on the same day the 42km (555m of climbing) 78% gravel short course route is still no Saturday stroll, but if you time it right you'll be back to catch the finish of the Gravel Nationals.
Based from the small rural community of Te Akau, all routes lead onto the gravel playground between Port Waikato and Raglan, where you will be rewarded with glimpses of the coast as you navigate through the valleys of limestone crag over the regions rough rolling gravel back roads.
