Friends, families, kids and adults – come along to Richmond Library to create a building from cardboard for our Handmade City inspired by the artists Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan.

Imagine buildings to sleep, eat, play and work in. What do they need? What do they look like? How big are they? Or how small? Do they have turrets, verandas, windows, drawbridges, ladders, staircases, roof tiles, chimneys or some other construction of your own invention? Release your imagination and help us to create the city of our dreams with recycled cardboard.

All materials will be provided in these free, self-guided workshops for people of all ages.

There is room for 16 physically distanced people at a time to work on their cardboard buildings in the Constance Barnicoat room at Richmond Library, so you may need to wait a wee while if the room is full.

Come to one Saturday session, or more – it's up to you.

Children, please bring an adult to lend a hand.

You'll need to bring your My Vaccine Pass and wear a mask while you're in the library.

Our collaborative Handmade City will be displayed in all its glory at Richmond Library throughout April.
