Did you know that September is Bee Awareness month?
Enjoy an afternoon in Highwic’s heritage gardens learning about Highwic’s role as an organic and ecologically safe space for bees. There will be informative and entertaining talks about bees with Noelani, our beekeeper, and from Sarah Smuts-Kennedy, vision holder of For The Love Of Bees. Highwic has a long running collaboration with For The Love Of Bees with its latest project being a historic, yet contemporary restorative orchard garden.
For the younger bee enthusiasts we will also have bee-themed craft activities and a garden hunt for children to enjoy.
Please register your interest by booking a spot for the talks – highwic@heritage.org.nz or call 09 524 5729.
Entry to the event by gold coin donation.
Normal entry price for the house:
Adults: $10
