Trees don’t live forever and the major forest canopy species in Aotearoa have different strategies for replacing themselves. During this 1-1.5 hour walk through the gardens we’ll learn about the regeneration strategies of kauri, beech and podocarp/hardwood forest species.

Meet at the Visitor Centre Tāne Whakapiripiri. Easy walking and sensible walking shoes recommended.

To keep everyone safe, all walk attendees, including visitors, guides and tail-enders, must present their Covid-vaccination pass certificates.
