NEW VENUE: July is our first gig in the Nix, the centrally located ultra modern space on the corner of Nixon and Chapman Sts, and just two minutes' walk from the Karangahape Rd and Great North Rd Intersection. Just walk in straight off the street. Look for the yellow balloons and yellow OC sign. It's a generous space with alcoves, sofas, kitchen etc. Street parking after 6pm is easy to find and free.
BRING STORIES, POEMS etc - flash fiction, short story, haiku, novel excerpts, travel writing, music reviews, performance poetry etc - to share ( your own work or pieces you love) or come as audience. Writing comes alive when its read aloud. Catch up with other writers and music lovers in the community.

MUSICIAN GUESTS: MOONLIGHT MORRIS
MOONLIGHT MORRIS is a semi-acoustic group featuring original songs arranged in melodic part-harmonies, delivered by vocalists WENDY MORRIS, GINNY T and LISA BLOOMFIELD, accompanied by PAUL LEFT’s beautiful finger-picking guitar styles. The songs, penned by Wendy Morris, have memorable tunes, relatable stories and catchy lyrics that people can easily sing along to. A comfortable blend of singer-songwriter, indie and pop music styles, MOONLIGHT MORRIS songs are uplifting and emotionally provoking.
