Ivy Blue front man James Brodie returns to the stage for the first time since 2019 since 2019 on his first-ever solo theatre tour to share stories and songs about growing up with Autism and ADHD.
The Becoming Brodie Tour will see James performing stripped-down versions of his music both as a solo artist and with Ivy Blue while sharing stories about growing up with Autism and ADHD in a new theatrical production. As you might have guessed, these shows will primarily be taking place in small to mid-sized theatres instead of the more intimate venues James has performed at in recent years with Ivy Blue, bringing James back to his theatrical roots formed as a member of the ACTA acting group at the Future Te Aroha Centre where James's performing career (and these stories) began over 20 years ago.
With thanks to Creative Communities in Waipa District and Matamata-Piako; this tour will see James performing four 'Hometown Shows' in Cambridge, Morrinsville, Matamata, and Te Aroha in late October and early November, bringing his stories back to the stage that James began his career on at the Future Te Aroha Centre on November 4th 2022.
