Initially scheduled for 25-28 November 2021, we are very pleased to announce the rescheduled Japanese Film Festival 2021 returns in Auckland to serve up premiere screenings of a wide range of films!

Breathe in, observe, delight, experience and enjoy the rich yet subtle tapestry of Japanese life and culture. All films are free admission and in Japanese with English Subtitles, so bring along your friends and family!

- Tickets can be booked either through the Academy Cinemas website ($1.50 booking fee applies) or at the Academy Cinemas counter (no booking fee).
- Please note phone bookings are not available for the festival.
- Bookings open from Thursday 3 February 2022.
- The censor rating for the film " One Night" is R16 (Restricted to persons 16 Years and over). In cinemas this means entry must be refused to anyone under the age of 16.


• This event will proceed under all current traffic lights (COVID-19 Protection Flamework) including the Red Light level.
• 100 person capacity per screening under the Red Light level, so get in quick! More tickets to be added if we move to the Orange Light level.
• A valid Government My Vaccine Pass will be required upon entering Academy Cinemas. Children under 12 years and 3 months old do not need to provide a My Vaccine Pass.
