Kaibosh Open Day on World Food Day

Have you ever wondered what food rescue is all about? Concerned about food waste in Aotearoa? Come to the Kaibosh Open Day to find out more!

WHAT'S ON AT THE OPEN DAY
Tours behind the scenes every half hour between 11-1.30,
Meet some community partners of Kaibosh to learn more about their mahi,
Free baking, free coffee and a koha/gold coin sausage sizzle fundraiser,
Kids colouring activities and tips to help you reduce food waste at home.

Our team at Kaibosh redistributed 700 tonnes of food in the past year, through our three hubs. That's more than 2 million meals out to the community to feed people instead of going to landfill! We do this with a team of amazing Kaibosh volunteers and partnerships with over 140 charity and community groups across the Wellington region, connecting kai with those who need it most.

We'll be joined on the day by some community partners: WELLfed, Compassion Centre Soup Kitchen, Home Ground and Community Fruit. Together, we're making a difference getting kai to those who need it most across Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

Kaibosh Food Rescue was founded in 2008 in Wellington, now operating out of three sites in Wellington City, Hutt Valley and Kāpiti-Horowhenua. Our vision is Zero Food Poverty and Zero Food Waste. We are the link between the food industry and community groups who are supporting those in need.
