Dress to impress and decorate your bike in ORANGE, the national colour of the Netherlands. Great prizes up for grabs!

The Dutch Week Orange Bike Ride aims to promote cycling as a sustainable means of transport, which helps us to address climate change through an enjoyable family-oriented event connecting New Zealanders with the local Dutch communities.

Kāpiti Orange Bike Ride:

The start is in the Otaihanga Domain. Then follow the Southern track of the Waikanae River to the Express Way. Cross the river and return via the Northern track along the river. Then cross the river again to finish in the Otaihanga Domain.

Distance is approx. 2.5km. Participants can complete the course once or multiple times.

Check in from 9.30am

The ride starts at 10am.

A Dutch treat awaits all participants at the finish line.

There will be a prize-giving at the end at 11.30am for the best-dressed cyclist and the best-dressed bike.

The Wellington Free Ambulance service will be around in case of any emergencies.

Kāpiti District Council supports this as a Zero-Waste event, as we have committed to remove all our waste.
