Two great bands. One unforgettable show.
Killer Queens combine with The Bowie show to bring you an evening of fun, nostalgia, sing-a-longs and arm-waving anthems.
KILLER QUEENS are not a tribute band, there are no cheap wigs and fake moustaches here. They pay homage to the music, influence and electricity of one of the biggest selling bands in the world. The night will span the entirety of Queen’s career with songs from the early years and includes songs Freddie never got to perform live with the band before he passed away in 1991.
The annual long awaited return of THE BOWIE SHOW, a yearly pilgrimage, the right of passage for the fans of the Diamond Dog, the Thin White Duke, Ziggy Stardust. David Bowie is a true rock legend, a chameleon of character and weaver of sonic textures. The Bowie Show band's first show was way back in 2015. Back then we just wanted to play some of his amazing music. Four months after the first outing he upped and left us for his place on Mars, from that moment we decided to pay yearly homage to the great man and his amazing body of work.
Both bands play completely live and contain some of Hawke’s Bay’s finest musicians. A coin will be tossed on the night to see which act performs first.
There will be crowd favourite sing-alongs, stomping anthems and few surprises thrown in.
Two dates are available. The Friday night being adults only, and the Saturday afternoon matinee is aimed at all ages. Families are extremely welcome
