Matakana Dash - Waka Ama regatta

Come watch 10km and 5km Waka Ama races with clubs and crews from across the North Island. Races start from Sulphur Point and head across the channel to Matakana Island and Fergusson Park. Hosted by our local Tauranga Moana Outrigger Canoe Club (TMOCC), the dash is an annual event used to fundraise for the club and will be held this year at the Marine Park at Sulphur Point. The first race starts at 9.45am, participants will be arriving and setting up from 7.30am.

Fun for the whole family - bring your chairs and picnic and join in the fun. There will be a coffee van available for drinks, BYO food. Parking is available onsite. Dogs welcome on-lead.
