Matakana War Memorial - ANZAC Day Service

Features: Guest Speakers, poetry reading, Solo guitarist and a Piper.

Over the past few months, we've witnessed the horrors of War - live in our living room. A fight for life, freedom and safety by the Ukrainian people. This war touched the world in a way never seen before and we all became anti-war activists. Expressing this sentiment in many ways - from protesting to giving.

In Matakana the School pupils will create a "Chalk Walk for Peace", along the path to our War Memorial. The Blue and Yellow of Ukraine prominent in their creation.

This ANZAC day we will remember those brave actions of our people in all wars along with the Ukrainians and their struggle for peace.

The official ANZAC Day Service at the Matakana War Memorial with be held on Monday, April 25th, at 10am.
