Matariki Workshops

We launch our Matariki celebrations at Nathan Homestead Pukepuke with 3 Māori inspired workshops by Jean Yern

Join us on Saturday 25th June and as we widen the kaupapa of Rangatiratanga through different mediums.

Lino Cut Printing (10am - 11am)
Acknowledging the past whilst making an inquiry into the art of whakairo (carving forms) you will make a set of postcards.

Small Harakeke Wall Hanging (12pm - 1:30pm)
Acknowledging heavenly bodies; bring your trinkets from home to add to your harakeke (flax) wall hanging taonga.

Feather Earring (1:45pm - 2:30pm)
Acknowledging your attainment of goals by making a beautiful solo earring taonga.

These workshops are open to all ages, we welcome you to join us for one or all three!
