Mini Hoop Embroidery - tutor Rosie Horn

Stitch a mini embroidery that can be worn as a necklace or a brooch, or as a small artwork for the wall.

At this small group workshop, you will get to try out a number of stitches that you can then use to stitch your brooch or necklace. The design consists of a background image and design that is printed on fabric for you to follow. We will mount the mini embroidery in the mini hoop with a necklace or brooch fastening.

Some of the stitches you will learn include stem stitch, daisy stitch, fly stitch, french knot and bullion knots. We will also consider where embroidery designs can come from by looking at the origin of the designs I have used for this workshop.

$5 small materials charge.

We will be stitching alongside the Small Looms workshop giving you the opportunity to see this delightful weaving.
