MTG Children's Matariki Activities and Star Hunt Competition

Shimmer and sparkle at the MTG as we celebrate Matariki and the shiny new public holiday! MTG will be open until late for 4 nights from 22 - 25 June. Entry is free.

Take part in our 'Make a Star' activity in the front foyer and add your creation to the display, then take a trek through the gallery galaxy on a search for all the stars that make up the Matariki cluster. Find them all and you can enter the draw to win one of two family passes to The Glow Show in Napier during the upcoming school holidays on 14 July!

The competition closes on Sunday 26 June, and two winners will be drawn at random on Sunday 27 June.

Bring the whanāu along and experience the illumination of the night sky and surrounding buildings with a Matariki star inspired light show in the heart of Napier’s CBD.

Enjoy some kai from local food trucks and make the most of late nights at the MTG.
