Muriel Hopper Hutt Art Awards

We are excited to say that we are once again holding our special awards exhibition. This year, two of the prizes are being sponsored, so a big thank you to Mayor Campbell Barry and also to Karl Chitham, the Director of the Dowse Art Museum, for their generous contributions.

The Awards are open to all members of Hutt Art and to all residents of the Hutt Valley. They were established in 2014 with funds from a bequest from a Hutt Art painter, Muriel Hopper. The Overall Winner receives $1,000. Two Highly Commended awards of $400 each and two People’s Choice awards of $100 each are also presented. Of the three main prizes, at least one will be awarded for a 2D work and at least one will be awarded for a 3D work. The exhibition is selected and judged by three independent judges.
