Drummer / composer / producer Myele Manzanza returns to The Rogue & Vagabond for his first concert in Aotearoa in almost 3 years.
Having moved to London in 2019 shortly before the coronavirus pandemic, Myele has been somewhat isolated from his homeland, but he’s put the time to good use, developing the multi-album ‘Crisis & Opportunity’ series & establishing himself as a forerunner in the London jazz scene, whether it’s performances at the London Jazz Festival, selling out the legendary Jazz Café or his monthly residency at one of the world’s great jazz clubs Ronnie Scott’s, as well as numerous tours & projects having taken him across Europe, the United States and West Africa.
Myele will be playing newly released music and old classics from the Manzanza songbook alongside some of New Zealand’s preeminent musicians for an un-missable night of music in the capital.
