National Poetry Day - 25th Anniversary Celebration

Whether you are well-versed in verse, or you don’t know your Hone Tūwhare from your James K. Baxter, or your Janet Frame from your Bill Manhire, you are invited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Poetry Day with an afternoon of live poetry readings at Taupō Library.

For the 25th year of this one-day national poetry extravaganza, the Taupō U3A Poetry group would love you to head down to the Taupō Library and spend an enjoyable and thought-provoking hour listening to live readings of poetry from Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.

All are welcome to come along to this free event. Bring along a poem to share if you wish!
