Celebrate Aotearoa New Zealand's next-generation of movie stars by joining us at the inaugural New Zealand Youth Film Festival Gala Screening event. Our signature black-tie event will be held on the evening of December 9 in the stunning Sir Paul Reeves Building at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Join our Judging Panel as they award films in each of our 12 award categories and 9 regional awards. An excellent programme of short films made by creators from across the country has been prepared.
New Zealand Youth Film Festival (NZYFF) is a free-to-enter film festival for all youth aged 15-24 years. Its mission is to celebrate and empower Aotearoa New Zealand's emerging filmmakers and creative youth. Each year, we host a nationwide competition with attractive awards and exclusive opportunities for youth to engage with the wider film industry, including a red carpet Gala Screening event in December.
