This is the news. We have our eyes on the city and our fingers on the pulse. In frightening times we are here to reassure you, a voice in which you can trust. Coming live and uninterrupted from Baycourt Theatre to an audience of potentially billions.
News News News is a television news show made by children for adults, recorded in front of a studio audience and broadcast live on the internet. Working with UK artists Andy Field, Beckie Darlington and NZ artist Rosabel Tan, children from Mount Maunganui Primary School will present a distinctive look at what’s going on right here and right now.
We live in a time when we are bombarded by news 24 hours a day, and yet our trust in journalists is at an all-time low. What happens when we let children report the news for us? Can they teach us how to trust the news again, and what might we learn about the world when we do so?
With support from our community: Sally’s Angels, Craigs IP, Farmer Autovillage, Harcourts, Marg McConnochie, Jen Scoular, Theresa Tingey, and two anonymous patrons
Wheelchair accessible, Hearing Loop Available.
Sponsored by Tauranga City Council, Toi Ohomai.
