800 Degrees glass brings a new 1.5 day workshop. Course participants will learn the art of creating a clay open-faced cast for casting glass using lead crystal glass.

You will learn techniques of rolling out clay for the form you wish to create, and will be demonstrated during the beginning of the workshop.

Participants will invest their clay model or wax model (depending on the choice of medium) and learn about moulds for open castings as well as filling the negative space with lead crystal glass.

A very hands-on workshop and limited to a maximum of five people only. Day one will be making your models and investing ready for the glass filling and then your moulds will be fired during the week and you will return the following Saturday for the half-day to demould your unique creations. This workshop will include up to half a kg of gaffer lead crystal.

800 Degrees glass will require vaccine passes to come onto our premises for this workshop.

Workshop fees include up to half a kg of gaffer lead crystal (limited colours). Extra glass used is to be paid for during the workshop.

Register to save disappointment as these workshops will fill spaces up fast!

Limited spaces so registration can be done via email to waiuklakeside@gmail.com.
