A beautiful out door information images gallery (interpretation site) will be opened by dignitaries and blessed by mana whenua on Sunday 13 November at the Southern Entrance of Queen Elizabeth Park (take Wellington Road from Paekakariki).
During World War II thousands of US Marines were trained in camps on the Kapiti Coast and many other places. This interpretation site remembers this amazing period in history and the relationship between the local people and the US Marines 1942 - 44.
