Ōtaki Repair Café

Repair Cafés are community events that matches people with broken or not working household items and local fix-it-volunteers who give their time and expertise to help you for no charge. Our volunteers also like to teach you skills, so you can try it yourself next time something needs fixing. Clothes that need mending, a piece of fashion jewellery that could do with a little help, so you can wear it again, a bicycle that needs a tune up, or a toaster that doesn't toast anymore - come along and see your items 'rescued' from the landfill.
Nothing to repair? Come along and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee & cake offered by Ōtaki's Toy Library, lend a hand with someone else’s repair job or browse the Christmas Swapping Table.
