Three days of experimental and exploratory electronic music from Aotearoa
Outlier Festival presents three days of genre-spanning music reflecting the diversity of Aotearoa’s experimental electronic music scene; including EBM, glitch, footwork, deconstructed club, ambient, cumbia, synthpop, hyperpop, cowgirl breaks, concrete music, goblin-core, dubstep, leftfield bass, power electronics, techno, taonga pūoro, drone, IDM, noise, neo-folk, industrial-sonics, coded music, splatter, slambient + everything in between!
First produced in 2019, artistic directors Grace Verweij (Sequentia, Related Articles) and Tash van Schaardenburg (Citacsy) have reimagined the festival to potentiate both deep listening experiences and unique dancefloors with a programme of exclusively live and original sets by adventurous electronic practitioners from around the country.
