Explore the Universe at our first, adults-only Planets + Pints night in Otago Museum’s incredible 360° Planetarium. Bring mates, a date, or fly solo at this out-of-this-world experience!
Sponsored by our friends at the Otago Brew School, your ticket includes a pint of Pilsner or Pale Ale, delicious snacks, and a live journey into outer space! We’ll be launching the night with an astronomical adventure through space with our interactive Night Sky Live planetarium show. Marvel at an aurora australis, fly to the far side of the Moon, learn what’s special in the heavens above tonight, or maybe a journey to the centre of our galaxy… the options are limitless!
After a short intermission, we’ll be screening CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story, the immersive 3D planetarium show documenting the Apollo programme, and what it took to put the first person on the Moon 50 years ago. Discover the story behind this historic moment that continues to inspire generations of explorers and dreamers.
