To advocate for safe spaces within the arts & the necessity of supportive platforms for the marginalised & vulnerable, Fringe Bar in collaboration with the Wellington Feminist Creative Community presents: POETIC JUSTICE // an open mic for survivors
All are welcome to come along & share their experiences - be it through poetry, song, or just story - to a supportive & inclusive audience. We endeavour to create a space where all survivors of patriarchal violence feel empowered to be vulnerable, & help each other heal through empathy, solidarity & community.
The event starts at 7pm, & open mic sign ups will be available upon arrival.
All proceeds will go to Wellington Rape Crisis. We will provide cash or digital options for koha.
Please wear masks when not eating & drinking to protect our community. NO heckling, bigotry or otherwise unsupportive attitudes will be tolerated & you will be immediately removed from the venue, to ensure that all performers & audience are comfortable & protected.
Otherwise, all are welcome, & we hope to see you at Fringe Bar on August 28th to unite against sexual violence & those who enable it within our community.

Please note: Seating is unallocated in orange settings. Come early to nab a good vantage point! Doors open 6pm.
The event space is located up stairs with a service elevator available on request, but please get in touch in advance if you have any accessibility concerns.
