Pride Night with the New Zealand AIDS Memorial Quilt Project

You are invited to come spend Pride Night with the New Zealand AIDS Memorial Quilt Project. This precious taoka is coming to Ōtepoti, thanks to Dunedin Pride and the Burnett Foundation Aotearoa.

The New Zealand AIDS Memorial Quilt is a memorial to those who have died of HIV-related illnesses. Each fabric panel is lovingly created by whānau, friends, partners, or co-workers, and is as unique as the person it remembers and those who created it.

See the quilt on display at this free and inclusive takatāpui & rainbow community event. You’ll get to hear kōrero from the Positive Speakers Bureau, spend time with the quilt and peruse an amazing collection of personal photo albums and archival posters. Kai provided.

Celebrate our people, reflect on our past, and learn about the future of HIV in Aotearoa.
