Rex Pickett - Author of Sideways, Author talk & Book Signing

Rex Pickett, the author of Sideways – the novel that became the hit, cult, Oscar-winning movie of the same title, will be in person at the Welsh Dragon Bar on Friday 22nd July at 6.30pm.

Rex is on a camper van road trip of Aotearoa New Zealand researching his new novel, Sideways NZ. His main character, Miles (Paul Giamatti in the movie and Rex's alter ego) is now a semi-successful author and is on a book tour with his best friend Jack (Thomas Haden-Church in the movie). In order to write this novel, Rex has to live it! And he plans one of the scenes in his novel to be at our Welsh Dragon Bar.

Rex will be autographing copies of Sideways and will be giving away 15 for free for the first 15 who commit to the event. In addition, the bar will be open (w/ a two-drink max. gratis, but have it, on Rex). Come to this fun, unique book club/book signing/author talk event. It will for certain end up in Rex's novel, and whatever's in the novel is almost sure to end in the eventual motion picture.
