Senior safety day - afternoon session

In recognition of International Day for the Older Person, we’re hosting a Safety Day for Seniors, broken up into two sessions.
After lunch we will be joined by the New Zealand Fire Service and the New Zealand Police who will provide information on how to minimise fire hazards and increase your personal safety in and around the home.
Following afternoon tea, Sports Manawatū and our resident Occupational Therapist will talk about falls prevention and how attending a strength and balance program can be effective in reducing your risk of falls.
The day concludes with a talk from SECURELY® a company that provides a range of medical alarms and artificial intelligence systems that allow family and caregivers to remotely monitor daily activities and be alerted to changes in health status.
Registration is necessary for catering purposes.
