What is burlesque?
Traditionally, burlesque is both provocative and comedic and the aim is to tease and insinuate nudity, without fully revealing oneself. It features anything from solo and chorus dance numbers, plus bawdy and slapstick skits. Burlesque is not just a way of dancing but also a way of storytelling and empowering the people who perform it.
Please wear clothing you can easily move about in and either heels or sneakers that you are comfortable in. No nudity required!
