Following on from two sold-out concerts in Tasman & Nelson Ma Bell brings her Songbird of the South show to the Folk Club stage accompanied by John Bevin, Mike Kime & Guests.

Izzy has been performing at Christchurch Folk club stages since the late 80’s but for those newer members or folks who haven’t yet caught Izzy (Ma Bell) in performance check her out.

She is a Scottish born contemporary folk blues jazz singer songwriter, a weaver of stories drawing on the traditions of the great blues artists of the past to tell universal stories of the present.

Ma Bell’s shade is blue, an authentic blues artist who has lived the stories she tells, an inspirational vintage songbird and storyteller who leaves no stone unturned, from original compositions to hot classic jazz blues through to folk, rock, country, and Celtic soul. Isabella (Izzy) Miller Bell Aka Ma Bell is a consummate professional who has performed on a variety of stages from schools and prisons to major festivals and events local, nationally, and internationally.

Izzy said she is excited to be back performing in Christchurch after what seems like a long hiatus and looking forward to making music with John Bevin, Mike Kime & Guests.
