Sonik Tonik is a name synonymous with cutting-edge house and techno. The night is the brain child of Cyril Orson and it sits as one of Auckland’s longest running club nights having been established 17 years ago. Over those years many acts have graced the decks, every night carefully curated to ensure the best possible flow for those on the floor.

On Friday 18 November Sonik Tonik welcomes a group of Cyril’s favourite DJs and friends to join him on the decks to celebrate his 50th birthday.

Miss B is a Tauranga based DJ and producer who has garnered a name for herself thanks to her rolling, slick sound. She has played some of the biggest festivals in NZ and is lining up a summer of even more.

Osey is LO-FI’s fearless leader, he produces music under Red Project and he has played at clubs, festivals and events in NZ, Australia and across Europe. No one does sultry, deep house quite like Osey.

Cooper Khan swings from deep melody to twisted minimal and chunky techno like an effortless breeze. His passion and love for the music he plays has seen him in demand across NZ. Coming at you with another B2B with Heylady, you can be assured of insane sound and a foot-stomping good time.

Heylady is known for her speaker rattling baselines and her ability to light up the floor with a vengeance. She headlines stages around NZ, has played in Australia and America and works tirelessly to ensure diversity in NZ’s underground music scene.

And finally Sonik Tonik’s main man, Cyril Orson. Cyril has been playing for over 30 years, he’s been running his own events for just as long and is thought of as house music royalty in Auckland. He’s graced stages around the world and brings a new meaning to the phrase future music.
