Enjoy an evening with one of New Zealand's most dedicated and passionate guitarists – Braden Southee as he presents classical guitar works from the top shelf, by composers Agustin Barrios, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Francisco Tarrega.
Braden began studying the guitar in 1995 at the age of 6, having developed an admiration for the instrument very early in childhood. Now he is the culmination of decades of devotion, extensive travel and experience, recording and touring with premier artists, as well as studying with many maestros including Grammy Award winning guitarist David Russell.
“Spain to the Americas” demonstrates the evolutionary differences of the Spanish guitar from Spain, Brazil, and Paraguay, where the guitar is a pillar of culture.
